“yetzer harah”

Our sages ask, “Who is brave?” The answer, “The one who conquers his yetzer harah (Evil Inclination).
Speaking lashon hara (evil tongue) about yourself is forbidden. You are created in the image of G-d; therefore, putting yourself down reflects negatively on G-d.

The greatness of Abraham is that he heard from the Almighty and went forth on a quest of self-discovery. (lech-lecha)!
Trends come and they go. Our challenge is to take the time to objectively reach beyond current fads and trends and embrace those critical values that affect us in a deeper, everlasting way.
